Korean Diary Day 18

Sung Hyun and I had a great sleep.  Sister woke us up and told us to HURRY UP!  We had 5 minutes to get dressed and brush our teeth, then we were out the door.  Apparently we were going for breakfast.

Breakfast was mushroom soup and of course side dishes!!

And some acorn jelly stuff

Sung Hyun caught 3 fish in his trap that he set up for the night.

He was so happy that he wanted to eat them in his ramyeon (noodle soup).

Korean hikers are one of a kind.  They dress from head to toe in clothes and come equipped with walking sticks and soju (Korean alcohol).  I even say one female hiker carrying an umbrella.  Koreans don't like the sun.

Kisses for mom!

Can you spot my Korean family up there?

The restaurant was near a nice lake.  The weather was perfect.

I tried to carry mom up the hill.

Family photo time!

That's a BIG family, isn't it?!  And not everyone was there.

After breakfast we played around in the lake some more.  I sat on some rocks on the shore (there was no sand) and read a book.  It was wonderful!

Then we crammed into the van and headed back to Seoul.  And crammed is an appropriate word to describe the ride home.

Dinner was Korean Chinese food:  black bean noodles, seafood soup, fried pork and mandu.

Observations of the Day:

1.  What an exhausting and exhilarating trip!

2.  I LOVE my Kfamily!!!!
