I thought I'd post a video explaining the obstacles I faced when apply for the SSHRC scholarship.  It's a long one:

I think any and all scholarships are sooooo stressful to put together. Even some applications too! Congratulations on not giving up and getting the scholarship. I hope you've been taking the time to relax since you're no long so busy. :)

Wow girl! You put a lot of effort and hard work into that proposal, and good for you for not giving up or getting discouraged when you received criticism. I like that you let it light a fire under your a** :-) I never applied for that scholarship, but I might when I do a PhD. I am not sure if you can receive the scholarship while employed full time. I know I got a scholarship through the U of R when I started the masters program, but couldn't accept it because I was working more than 6 hours per week.

Jen! First off, I love your blog. You are so candid and such a good writer. Each week I look forward to catching up with you!

Congrats on receiving the SSHRC scholarship! This is a huge achievement. I'm glad you decided to share your personal struggles when putting together this application! Not everyone is successful you should be extremely proud!

Great job!
