The not so pretty side of Korea.....

Drive down by Yongsan or Youngdung-po on any given week night and you'll be sure to see this:

Prostitution in Korea is a little more 'in your face' compared to Canada -- something I'm certainly not accustomed to. The irony of the situation though is that a police station is situated at the end of this long luminescent street. But in a culture where women's rights lag far behind men, that shall come as no surprise.

For an interesting read and more information on this topic head on over to the Metropolitician and check out his interview with a local sex worker
* all pictures are still images from video footage taken by Kenda and myself on a Saturday evening in Seoul

In the interest of treating women as people and not objects, perhaps you would think about the fact that you went down the street where they are "working" and took a video of them as objects...It appears that you, although not paying for their services have the same view of them as the people in "Korean society" that you appear to not understand.

Further, I would assume that you would, as a woman, be more sensitive to their plight and not post their pictures online. I'm certain that these women aren't working there for fun and aren't all that keen to have people posting their faces online for everyone to know how they earn a living...
